Fleet

The fleet determines which resources the planner can use and under which constraints.

Each vehicle has at least:

  • a plate or identifier;
  • vehicle type;
  • assigned operator;
  • cost per kilometre and per hour;
  • availability for the plan date.

Operators group vehicles and help analyse the operation by team. Keep the data up to date so costs and assignment remain reliable.

The compatibility matrix defines which vehicle types can carry each cargo type. If a cargo type has no compatible vehicle, the plan may not cover every service.

Review the matrix before an important planning run. Do not ignore compatibility warnings.

Planning needs addresses with coordinates and a matrix of distances and durations. If an origin-destination pair is missing, the result may be incomplete. The addresses screen shows matrix coverage.

With the fleet ready, review pricing rules and create a plan.
