Getting started
Latitude is organised around a daily cycle: record demand, prepare resources, calculate a proposal and review it.
1. Access the application
Section titled “1. Access the application”The application is served over the web. Access uses a username and a server-side session; access tokens are not stored in the browser.
In a demo, the data is synthetic and can be reset. Real data is not loaded without a data processing agreement and a prior review.
2. Review master data
Section titled “2. Review master data”Before planning, check that you have:
- customers and addresses with coordinates;
- cargo types and vehicle types;
- vehicles, operators and costs;
- pricing rules;
- the address marked as the base or depot.
3. Record the day’s services
Section titled “3. Record the day’s services”Each service includes customer, pickup, loading, delivery, date, time window and commercial data. The quality of this data determines the quality of the plan.
4. Create a plan
Section titled “4. Create a plan”Select the date, services and vehicles. Start the calculation and wait for the job to finish. The detail view shows the proposal per vehicle.
5. Review before deciding
Section titled “5. Review before deciding”Check sequence, schedules, waiting times, cost and margin. The plan is a proposal: the operations team makes the final decision.
